I believe that Woodbury Heights needs to maintain a two party system. I
have been prohibited from sitting on the other five
standing committees but I have taken my
strengths and determination to best serve our
community. To increase better communication I
single-handedly have created the content for our
Borough’s website. The Heights Highlight newsletter
is completely formatted by me to save costs. Our
information card now has hours and email addresses
to attain better service from your Borough workers.
We also saved by putting the trash service schedule
on the back of the card. I organized a public
auction of Borough property so that we could reduce
our assets not being used.
I have a vested
interest in both our schools and senior citizens
needs. Our public facilities have been
improved to accommodate any physically disabled
residents and our bus service has adjusted to the
changing needs of our seniors. I am in contact with
both public schools’ superintendents to keep an
information flow open.
I have a good rapport
with our Borough clerks and as JIF Fund Commissioner
meet with the department heads of Public Works,
Police and Fire Departments at our safety meetings.
This position also offers me a chance for discussion
and exchange of ideas with other Fund Commissioners
from our county.
To address the future
of our changing community I would like to have an
opportunity to generate more support for the health
concerns in our community. My experience in the
pharmacy has raised my concerns for the costs of
wellness. One of my goals would be to create a
walking path in our Borough and give everyone a
chance for improving the quality of their lives. My
job as Councilwoman has enabled me to meet a lot of
residents I would not normally have contact with.
I would like to continue to
receive your support.
